This is a picture of me standing with the village leader in one of the places I visited.
This man, who is not a Christian, came to thank us for the work we have been doing in the area. He was very pleased to welcome our efforts to start a church in his village. I asked him why a non-Christian man would be so pleased to have a church in the village, and he replied, "In all the villages where churches are, people are better. They take care of each other and of their families. They give children education and hope. A village is always better with a church.
He promised to meet with the church leaders to find out more about becoming a Christian himself.
